Hello, I'm Meriel Jones

I'm delighted to be joining the nursery as your Forest School Practitioner.

I've spent over 20 years working with young children, and I truly believe that some of the best learning happens outdoors. I love helping children discover the natural world through play, exploration and adventure, giving them the freedom to get muddy, ask questions, use their imaginations and simply enjoy being outside.

Every outdoor learning session is shaped by the children's interests. We might go on a bug hunt, build a den, splash in puddles, create nature art, enjoy stories, or spend time noticing the changing seasons. There's always something new to discover.

My aim is to create a safe, welcoming environment where every child feels confident to explore, try new things and develop a sense of wonder about the world around them. Outdoor learning is about being curious, solving problems, building friendships and growing in confidence, one adventure at a time.

I can't wait to get to know your children and share lots of exciting outdoor experiences together. I hope they'll come home with rosy cheeks, muddy boots, big smiles and plenty of stories to tell!
